Headed to Emerald Bay

We had a great sail to Emerald Bay.  They have a great deal at the no services floating docks for 50 cents a foot which we were going to take advantage of.  Attached to Sandals we thought it would make a great stop.

View from the Palapa Hut overlooking the pool and beach

Beach was great with small umbrellas and beach lounges, and cabana boys

Emeral Bay Marina

Upstairs a huge captain's lounge with a pool room, downstairs reading room and coffee teas service mornings

We unfortunely had some severe generator problems. We use our generator to run all the major systems such as refrigeration, water makeing, air conditioning, ice making.  Lucky we had close friends flying in to spend the rest of June with us.  They brought in repair parts that Gary needed, with a lot of effort the generator wagged along, not as good but enabled us to at least use one system at a time.

Staniel Cay

Problems with phones and wifi have caused us to lose some pictures and information.

Staniel Cay Yacht Club

We have arrived!

Beautuful cottages

We had so much fun here. There is a beach called Pirate Island next to pig beach where cruisers hang out.  We saw our friends Dirk and Nancy had left their plank with the name of their boat there. Gary and I left a plank with our names also.

Pig Beach

Visitors need to take notice of both ends of pigs!

The beautiful face of Pigs!

Is it Cricket?

It isn't in the guidebooks.  I isn't on the maps.  It is across from the famous fish fry.  BUT is is the best British food I've ever eaten.  It's the Cricket Club!
Yup! They're playing Cricket

My favorite Cricket Player

Outside of the club

Inside was a great pub.  We had steak and Kidney pie and a seafood pie that had a least a whole lobster in it.  Great beer.   There is a lot to be said for the Empire!
