Steve's First Spanish Catch 2015

We had a visit from Gary's brother Steve while we were out at shell Island.  He had been fishing for Spanish on a very blowy day, and stopped by for coffee after. He is super proud of his boat and the fish he caught.
Steve is such a great guy.
He is holding Gary's Gater speckled trout, caught early 2015. Biggest one yet.
He really wanted that coffee!

2014 refit news

From Jan:
2014 was a year of refits for Miss Em as well as me.  I had several surgeries to repair/upgrade myself and Miss Em was undergoing some major repairs herself. Some of the major upgrades were: Adding a ridged framework for the new enclosure, a new stainless arch for the dingy, upgrades on all nav. gear (AIS, sail mail, hailer, Pactor modem, Captain's program, weather package), ice maker, change over to LED lighting, and Purasan waste system.
Most of the rest of the year was involved in the ongoing replacement and maintenance.  New pumps, batteries, chargers, wiring, varnishing.  In my case, recovery. I hope this link will serve to show where we were coming from and where we will be going.  Retirement will be a new adventure for Captain Gary and I, and we are looking forward to being with Miss Em for our best years.

Grandkids at Shell Island

We picked up 2 of our grandchildren to spend the day, and night, at Shell Island.  Chloe, the eldest of the lot, is no stranger to Oma and Papa Blue's boat mania.  I remember her at the wheel of our 31 Hunter when she was so young she was the same size as the wheel!  A born Aquarius, she is.  Carly, perpetual motion is hard to get a good photo of because hers are usually blurred.
